Ready with a smile for anyone…

Minky is one of the oldest members of the Nedile family, in the sense that she joined us just after opening our doors in August 2003. She started out as a Housekeeper, who admitted that her heart wasn’t really in the bush, but was still a great all rounder who did a bit of everything! Then the inevitable happened: she fell in love with the bush and the Lodge and has been here ever since! Originally from Mokopane, she is a strong willed young woman, who can do anything she sets her mind to.

She was quickly stolen out of the kitchen to answer some questions:
Q: What do you like about Nedile, Minky?
A: “So many things! The staff, the owner, the lodge, the environment, I actually love everything!”
Q: Why do you love the kitchen so much?
A: “It’s always a challenge. Learning new things and working with different chefs – I love cooking!”
Q: Why do you like the industry you are in?
A: “I like to work with people. Also working in the bush is much nicer that in a city! It’s so nice meeting new people all the time.”
Q: What makes living in the bush interesting?
A: “All the animals, we’ve had some elephants just outside our living quarters as well as Rhino! I’ve almost seen all of the big 5 just from my room… The air here is also nice, and the aroma of the bush…”
